The Legendary SMG ION LASER is manufactured by Maliwan and comes from the Borderlands 3 Handsome Jackpot DLC.

ION LASER - Unique Ability

Primary Element toggleable between 2 of the 5 Elements.
Requires a 1s charge up before shooting a continuous elemental Laser Beam.

When ending the continuous laser beam, 1 to 8 Orbs are fired that deal [weapon element] Splash Damage.
The longer the laser lasts the more Orbs are fired.

Additionally, consecutively firing the ION LASER increases its damage by about +12.5% per ammo.
Up to a maximum of +300% Damage.

Damage-Type:
The ION Laser's damage is considered Assault Rifle Damage.
